DeMar DeRozan Trade Rumors Heat Up

Bulls Reportedly Open to Sign-and-Trade Possibilities

Lakers, Heat Also Interested in Acquiring All-Star

With free agency just around the corner, DeMar DeRozan's future has become a hot topic of discussion. According to a report by KC Johnson from NBC Sports Chicago, the Los Angeles Lakers are actively trying to acquire the veteran guard via a sign-and-trade. The Bulls are reportedly open to such a deal, further fueling speculation that DeRozan could be on his way out of Chicago.

The Lakers, who recently missed out on Kyrie Irving, are in dire need of a secondary scorer to pair with LeBron James and Anthony Davis. DeRozan, who averaged 21.1 points per game last season, would certainly fit the bill. The Heat, who are looking to build a contender around Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo, have also been rumored to be in the DeRozan sweepstakes.

While the Lakers and Heat are considered the frontrunners for DeRozan's services, other teams could potentially enter the mix. The New York Knicks, who have been linked to DeRozan in the past, could also make a play for the four-time All-Star.

DeRozan, who will turn 34 this summer, is set to enter unrestricted free agency. He has spent the last three seasons with the Bulls, helping them reach the playoffs twice. However, with the Bulls struggling to make a deep playoff run, DeRozan may be looking for a fresh start.
